千萬不要因為你的學生聽不懂英語就來個中文的開場白，你要從一開始就讓你的學生習慣于聽英語，如果學生不懂，你可以盡量通過體態(tài)語，動作，表情等讓學生理解你的話，但盡量不說中文，就仿佛你是一名外籍教師來中國上課時一樣，讓學生對英語產生更濃厚的興趣。

要學會“賣關子”，越是讓人不明白的事就越能吊起人的'口味。

一走上講臺，你就說：“Hello! Boys and girls!”“Class begins.”等來組織教學，然后自我介紹，“(I’m Mr…(或I’m Miss…)”學生聽不懂沒關系，用手勢，表情，再通過反復演練讓他們理解。

如果課后有學生問你：“你上課講的那都是些什么呀?我們一句也聽不懂�！蹦憧梢愿嬖V他，“那就是你們要學習的‘英語’!”這說明你已經激發(fā)起他們的興趣了。

當然，在介紹學習英語的重要性時，也不要忘了肯定中國的文化成就，加強愛國主義教育，向學生指出，正是由于熱愛自己的祖國，為了把自己的祖國建設好，我們才要學好英語，以吸取別人的經驗來建設自己的國家。

當第一堂課下課鈴響時你可以跟學生說:“I’m sorry, I must go now. They are jealous of our happy-ness.”“Bye-bye.”等。要讓學生從一開始就享受到上英語課的歡樂。

總之，在上第一堂課之時教師就要讓學生建立起對英語課的初步印象，激發(fā)起對英語學習的興趣、引導學生正確的學習動機、培養(yǎng)他們不畏艱難的學習意志，以保證他們日后的英語學習一路順風。
